North end was iced up but south was open. It warmed up last night and has been raining, so I'm going to say you'll be good to go. Almost all the snow has melted even. Just check the wind for up here cause we have been having some really windy days, like 20+ mph days.

I wish the ice would just grow. Do ya know if they are catching anything worth a trip from Erie with the boat?

Couldn't tell ya for sure. I haven't had a fishing rod in my hand since October. It's hunting season and my Sunday's are filled by rest.

Like I said just keep an eye on the wind it's been a heavy chop the last few days.

if it freezes, ill be ice fishing. if not, ill be waiting for the early spring eye bite.

just got back from pymy, 5 inches of snow but not a lick of ice anywhere north or south, it will be a while temps this weekend well above freezing

The north end will be froze by tomorrow. It's been frozen 3 times already so the water is cold, especially with the temps they're calling for. If the lows stay in the 20's and the highs in the low to mid 30's it'll be good to go soon. We will be fishing soon!

The 10 day forecast has 5 daytime temps above freezing and only one low above freezing. 17 tonight 17 tomorrow and 14 tomorrow night it's gonna freeze

with wind like this...i dont know how good it will freeze... i hate to put anyones hopes up cuz im dying to get out myself.
