Are you talking about Muddy Creek that flows out of Lake Arthur? If you are I think you would be better off walking the creek than trying to float it.

Muddy Creek by cambridge springs (nearest town) is most easliest axcessed from swamp road. The issue with that is that is its a huge wildlife refuge. I have read the rules and it is set aside for migritory bird and allow no boats, tude or anything that floats with a person in it for fear of people transporting aquatic hitchhikers to its waters.

The surrounding area is low lying swamp with alot of red brush, pricker bushes, thick tall growing grasses. It isnt a diamond in the rough because the water is super low and the air if filled with biting insects as the case for many slow moving swamp like streams.

But i have to wonder if you have the names of the creeks you are lookin for information messed up since you asked about edinboro/venango. Check on that.

I agree, it sounds more like Conneautee Creek to me but I dont know about floating it, it isn't very big water.

Waste of time, like i said earlier lack of area to fish, very unforgiving. Its water so i bet some fish (how many and the kinds I have no idea) are there but just very hard water to get to and fish.

There is a Muddy Creek in Crawford County that crosses Rt 77 at Little Cooley I think. it is an approved trout stream but not floatable I have caught some nice trout out of there.

What catchabigone said. Hook up onto the creek east of 77. They stock bows and browns in the spring.

Oh forgot, they dont call it "Muddy" creek for no reason.
