My 5-yr old son caught a 17” and a 20” rainbow this past Sunday.  I’d like to get replica mounts made of each one since we released both of them, but I am new to the South Hills and am not familiar with any of the local taxidermists.  Can anyone suggest a good taxidermist in the Pittsburgh area (I’m not against driving up to an hour for good work)?  Thanks!

Walleye jigs
Use to be, don't know if they're still there, in Bridgeville. They did several fish for me years ago and I was very happy with their work.

Had a replica done once. Wasn't as happy with it compared to a real mount

Not going to recommend or not recommend, just mentioning as a possible option. Probably around 25 year ago I caught an eight pound Largemouth from Castaic Lagoon. I couldn't get the fish revived enough to release it. It just kept lying on it's side. So since I had a dead fish on my hands, I decided to send it to Bass Pro Shop and have it mounted. The skin mount came out pretty nice. I think I paid two hundred something, but that was over twenty years ago.
