Didn't see the show Sam but this link can give ya the names of lakes in Texas. Maybe it will help ya to remember.

If "Brushpile Fishing" is the name of the show. You thinking "Lake o' The Pines" with Brian Carter?

There also is "Lake Fork" Texas with Tommy Ezell.

As always Sam, you are most welcome.

I saw the "Brushpile Fishing" on Youtube but the latest at Lake Palestine hadn't been listed.

Am I mistaken, didn't "Chauncy" appear on the show fishing Shenango Reservoir in Mercer County PA?

btdt,He was on the show, but I am not sure where. That is how I was alerted to the show. I wasn't aware of how many championships the host won. I love watching crappie fishing shows but am not fond of the electronics that are in use to-day or of spider rigging. I don't think that we need all of that to outwit a creature with a brain the size of an pencil eraser.IMO fishing should be fun,not a life & death endeavor.    sam

Sam I agree with you, fishing has gotten so commercialized over the years.

So many programs no longer about fishing as much as they are about selling products.

I did enjoy watching the episode with Chauncy. Ken is always willing to help folks catch fish.

Agree with you BTDT...would rather see shows that give actual tips and not what you need to buy.

ATTE the good ole days when a fishing program promoted the fish and this is how you can catch em is surely going by the wayside.

Now it's ya gotta have this, and ya gotta have that. and today it has to be this color but tomorrow it must be that color.

I half think, newbies shy away from getting started because the fishing shows make everything so complicated it scares people.

In all fairness to "Brushpile Fishing", I have not watched the program other then when, and only because, Chauncy was cohosting the program. It's the only fishing show I've recommended to family and friends, in many many years.

Don't tell Chauncy I said this but among crappie anglers in the know, Ken is a local legend.

Good times and tight lines.

btdt,John, that show (erie extreme) is also worth watching, mostly because they fish around here & seem more down to earth than most. To be fair about all of the advertisements, putting on a good show is many times more expensive now than it was in the past,so they must bring in cash somehow. I think that  (in-fisherman) is still the best on t.v. very informative & they stress c&r more than most. They also show the importance of matching your tackle for your fishing & telling you why they use what they do.Also I went on a couple of trips with the guides that they suggested & it went well. That being said ,I think that Bill Dance, Jimmy houston,Roland Martin & Al Linder could all catch fish in the parking lot if asked. sam
