Can't say he's my best friend as he's chewed everything imaginable in my house including the wife's bra, lol. But he has been doing good in the yard and this adventure. Seems smart.
Jack Russell/ pug mix

I bet he'll make the "best friend" before too long.I REALLY MISS my best friend,it's been two years and I think of her everyday. If moving to Ohio was 'nt in my plans I would be looking for a "best friend" right now,but I'll wait till I get there to see if it would be a good thing to do.

Today was a washout. We seen this coming. Pretty steady to heavy rain all day. Some campsites look like lakes and if I were in them in a tent, you'd be floating.
The rest of week looks fantastic so what's 1 out of 7 , no big deal.
Something I always tell myself but never do is to wear a knee brace on my knees.
A lot of times I'm digging with a rake on my knees. Don't know what it is but I always get these nasty infections. Could be from the sand grinding or parasites in the water but I can say, it's nasty ,painful and sometimes spreads.
Oh well, gonna have to suck it up.

Just be careful and keep an eye on it, especially if you are immuno compromised in anyway. (diabetes, liver disease, etc.)

Not very prevalent there but they do have it.

It was really prevalent in TX when I was there, several older gentelmen who had health issues lost limbs due to the flesh eating version of it. Most instances began with a simple fin stick from a fish when handling their catch.

Thanks for the head's up. In the first 2 years here I thought it was poison oak due to location on legs and brush height around campgrounds.
Last year I was pretty confident it's from kneeling in sand ( it's not mucky) and aggressively using my knees and feet, like crab walking.
I keep saying I will put elastic knee braces on but always forget and after the fact .
Kneeling helps on the back.
Today I did not kneel and things worked out well.

Its get'r done time. We usually have 3 diggers including me. This trip my wife is unable due to shoulder surgery and my dog just ain't fetching them so it's me to get'r done.
Beautiful day, hit area at 10am with wife and dog, done by noon.
The pile is building. Approx, 300 on ice now.
Tomorrow is an all out assault from 9am till 1pm. Got tide and clams dialed in now.

Thanks Jack. I've released almost as many chowder clams. Kept about 2 or so dozen to make Manhattan chowder when I get home.
We will have a shindig bbq at the house the next 2 weekends with family for sure. Everything else goes into storage for the future. Its nice not buying groceries right now.
Last night's meal was homemade pizza. All sauce, herbs and sausage from our home.
Lunch today was egg salad, eggs from home.
Tonight was Angus t bone from a family , fresh clams and garden salad.
Haven't eaten store bought food since last Friday.
Life is good

New spot didn't pay off like I hoped. Tough going but managed a good 75 to add to the pot. My back and arms are needing some self medicating. Not doing terrible at over 400 in 4 days digging but if I had help , we'd be money..
1 good day left tomorrow then picking up stakes for home on Saturday.
I do miss the garden and farm.
Lots to do when I get home.

The picture shows when the fog rolled in.
