No steelhead clipping in near future due to the number of fish roaming from Canada. If both countries dont clip numbers are unreliable.

I would characterize the people who made noise about Atlantic and Skams as a small but vocal contingent of lake guides.  I am definitely getting tired of going to or participating in DEC functions where one or two people just take over and "run the show" with their questions and comments shouted out from the floor.  Definitely good to hear that they acquired permanent easements on 1.7 miles of bank in the Village.

With the river going up to 3500 yesterday, I spent a fair part of the day hiking and scouting.  I have  a hard time with Dan Bishop's contention about exhausting carrying capacity, I walked a huge piece below Tubbs Road, and saw only one redd.  The only fish I saw were north of Orwell up into the Chateua**** State Forest, that area doesn't even show up on the access maps, it is so far upstream from the river..

Complaints about stocking atlantics and skamania for summer fishery from everyone and Reasons why they want to continue. These are mostly Federally funded so they need to stop complaining (my take). Increased lamprey control as they are spawning further up river. They went over all t by e river restoration and rock placements

Clint that "everyone" was all guides.
If I can't make money off it why are you spending money on it.
At least that how I took it.
I go up
every summer chasing dreams.
Screw them!

The new project at Ellis this summer they are blocking many side channels to promote greater flow during off peak flows. At peak flows water will spill into the side channels. Much bank erosion projects there too.

With the 3500cfs we got to see how some of the vanes worked and at least the T
ailwater work looked to be doing what it was meant to do.

Yes it was. I may have been the only non guide , non business owner there  I think. They stated they are closer to making a more tolerant strain for Lake O

Clint Lucky and I were there.
We were looking for you but it was tough in that setting.
I also saw several people that I believe  were simply fishers.
It was one of the things I liked most.
But we and they were not yelling interrupting the meeting as the professionals were doing.
Sorry we missed you!
