What monofilament line do you use?  I have tried the stren and trilene xl.  I was not impressed with either one.  How about the Cabela's line?

Maxima ultra green and chameleon. Landed countless catfish/ carp, steelies and a 40" muskie on the 4lb while crappie fishing with no issues. Very durable, even the light test handle big fish without worrying, and cast a mile when spooled correctly . My go to chit in different sizes.

Stren and trilene are junk.

maxima is junkier......lol

I never had issues with it. You should know I put stuff through it's paces. 15lb and under fish are dinks anymore

I've caught countless stelhed out of Loyalhanna and Yough, while rock bass fishing, using 1lb mono that I bought from Sportsman's Warehouse. The one right off of the Parkway North, on my way mup Erie, n'at... Ther in my freezer, waiting to get mounted. My brother is a state champion wrestler, look it up...

I only use power pro, mono sux. Before I changed, Break A Way copolymer was my favorite. Technically not monofilament.

Sufix Seige.  Great stuff, though their breaking strength is suspect.  I've pulled my dual_anchored 20' boat from its spot with their "8lb" test.  I like the camo and smoke green.  Best thing for me is that it is very easy to tie knots with.

I used Trilene XL and XT for 35 years, but my line of choice today is Trilene Sensation and TransOptic. Very tough lines; easy to tie and low memory. It works for me.
