Yes. The hot weather heated up the surface water very quickly but the deeper water didn't warm nearly as fast. The fish all came shallow to the warmer water a lot sooner than they normally would and were feeding like crazy. This recent cold front has lowered the lake temps by 10 to 12* with these near freezing nights. All this wind is mixing the top layer with the lower colder layer and making the temps universal thruout the water column. This stirs up the bottom and the fish seem to become disoriented somehow. The bite slows way down for a while. Some of us can even smell the water as well as see the coloration change. Happens on Shenango in the fall as the summer heat warms the water then the cold fronts start cooling it down. Seems it's happened this spring here too. Not sure about Pymatuning tho as i haven't spent time there this spring yet.
