When I am not on the tribs I like to fish for Trout in the ANF on small to large streams.
Please suggest what two piece, 6 - 7 foot rod, line, and reel and where. I was overwhelmed when I searched on the internet.

I personally use a 9ft zander rod (one cabela had) very sensitive and makes an average trout feel like a stilheD. Don't think they make that rod anymore...but an UL uglystick would do fine. I like 4lb maxima chameleon with a 2-3' section of 2lb fluro leader for line. Then the smallest Pfluger President in the range.

Might that 5wt TFO you have for sale be a close match for Hefalump? Is it still for sale? I just wish I could come up with a good enough reason to tell myself I needed to buy it!

I know you said 2 piece - is there any particular reason? I only ask because I have a 4 piece Sage I love and bought a couple more 2 piece Sage rods. Every time I'm out I keep wishing I would have bought only 4 piece. I really like the portability of the 4 piece.
