ever heard of " tar bottoms" on the Allegheny....great place to catch cat fish on the river at night, not to far from French either. Use chubs from oil creek.

No I haven't. Where Is that at? And live chubs or cut bait? Also channels or flats and channels?

Flates your better off live channels will eat anything

we use chubs ... depends on which holes really ... if its slower water i just put a little sinker on and let it go and that works ... but in the holes with heavier current use like a 1/2 sinker with chubs and gils and the flats come around ... catch the occasional pike and walleye as well so i guess the best advice is to try it ... move through the deeper holes
