It's been a long winter and I know it's a little early to start thinking about the annual outing, but maybe it's time to start planning it. I read on the PA Fish commission's site that the area downstream from the bridge at Petroleum Centre will be stocked on Thursday, May 6th. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 9th.

The outing is open to all of this site's members and their friends. This is a excellent chance to put a face on a screen name and to maybe develop some new friendships. In the past we usually voted on a date in which it will be held. The majority rules. I vote for Sunday, May 16th.

For those new to his site, a bunch of us have gotten together, at Oil Creek State Park, the past seven years in the springtime. Specifically we usually meet at an area between Oil City and Titusville named Petroleum Center. It is a couple of miles off route 8. We usually meet at one of the picnic pavilions near the creek. We fish for a few hours in the morning, meet up for lunch and then go back out for the afternoon hatch. Everybody usually pitches in and brings something to eat or drink. It's a great event to meet many of the members that write here and put a face to a screen nickname

Please give an opinion on a preferred date to have this outing if your interested.

In a few weeks we can tally the votes and come up with a concensus.
