bear very true a lot of crazy things happen on the tribs and i believe that people actually still think they're fishing. The joy they would find if they did it the right way is more rewarding then limiting out unless your there to feed the family but i don't think there is too many of those guys there, but I could be wrong

King of the sea, Poseidon, Neptune, whatever you want to call the dude, sure as hell he could fish and he used a frickin' pitchfork.  A trib tickler. When I was a  kid, we use to herd suckers up to a small dam and  collect them  with  forks for garden  fertilizer.   Maybe I should sell all those fancy fly sticks I've collected and be a real fisherman.
I'm with Lucky on closing the brooks  when it's this low and easy.

Maybe even a October 31 time of opening tribes of the SR maybe we'd get a little more natural reproduction. Not like anyone does any fishing in the tribes

Trout brook should be closed period because IMHO you cannot fairly fish there due width and depth  unless there has been ALOT of rain.  I have not walked it in years , but I doubt under fairly normal  water circumstances there is any spot over thigh deep.   I fish the other tribs alot.  That said  I would LOVE to see Orwell closed down until Nov. 1.   There are alot of deeper  holes (some around 6 feet deep even last weekend) and TONS more brush for the fish to hide there.

Orwell is a beautiful brook I love it under the pine trees it's like you go into a different world. But dont really go there unless river is high.

Well now it is until 11:58  tonight so I guess they are giving a good push after all the recent rain.  I just  checked the gauge and it is running at 417 so must be some good run off too!!!

jeebers you mean now that they have a little water to work with they're pulsing it a little at night to move the fish.
why didn't i think of doing that.
guess that kind of thinking is for the expert to come up with, not an some old fisherman like me.

Yea, Bob, but the 4 hour pulse has turned into a 16 hour push.  Should bring alot of fish (and pressure)  from down low and give the steel aplace to hide.

maybe i am reading it wrong but it looks to me like it pulsed briefly and has dropped ever since and it is run off keeping the flow higher not a release.
it says the same thing should happen again tonight.
heard they were predicting another 1/4 in rain today-night which should keep some extra cfs in the river again tomorrow.
or am i reading the pineville gauge wrong.
