Hello all.

I have got the pike itch pretty bad and I figure that my best right now is probably Eaton.  With the high population of northerns in there, does anybody know if they can still be caught in the shallows this time of year.  Also, does anybody know the actual depth of Eaton?  Thanks, guys.

Hey bass,

I usually fish eaton once every couple weeks or so. I have not caught a pike this year, but I don't target them. I have had a number a heavy break offs while crappie fishing (probably pike). The crappie bite seems to be dying off as of late. I caught some nice bass last time I was out. My buddy caught a 17.5" smallie just yesterday. As far as depth goes I'd say the average is 9' or so with the deepest hole I know of being 16'.

If you can get some decent sized creek chubs you'll probably catch a few. If you can manage to catch a few small pumpkin seeds they work well also.

Fished Eaton friday morning for bass and pike from a jon boat. My buddy caught a couple small pike, one on a zara spook, not sure of the others. I caught one, about a 24 incher, on a spinner near the dam. We caught about a dozen bass also.
