Are pike a more aggressive fish, overall?

Pike are more willing biters overall. They tend to attack with out reguard. With musky the attack is just as aggressive, but the tendencys of musky is to follow your bait with no strike.
 
So pike strike first then ask questions, while musky seem to think about it before acting.
 
With pike your average fish might be 20-25 inches, musky 30-34 inches. IMO a 30 inch musky will out fight a 36 inch pike, the build of musky is on every aspect bigger (average local fish) than pike.
 
The chances of you getting a 36+ inch pike are less than getting a 40+ musky. I got caught many pike 36-42 inch they are around, not very many of them (in terms of numbers), but overall a musky over 40 inches is easier to catch than a three foot pike.
