A friend of mine whom I went fishing with Wednesday told me a guy at his work told him it is illegal to use brown trout eggs for bait.   Not true right???????

Just scoured my reg book and only found cant have more than a quart and can't chum.  I am am keeping my eggs for tomorrow.

I have heard the same but couldn't find it in the regs. So your good

i believe it is just like the useless law about lead shot.
you can't sell it in ny state but you can use it if you have it.
 
same for eggs.
can't sell trout eggs but you can use them.
unless something has changed but i'm sure that would have been all over the boards.

I actually have more eggs now than I know what to do with......   1 king, 1 ho and one brown.   If  they last in the freezer no need for any next year.
I have next week off except monday.   Will hit it a few days at least.

Yup, last i heard was possesion is fine... just no sales... im psyched to get my steel eggs in operation...soon!!!
I usially dont prefer skeins but these ones are looking pretty dynamite... may have to take a trip to osewgo with them soon to snatch a female brown loaded with loosies :)
