Fished for about 4 1/2 hours Wed. 29th, but no eyes! Did manage a couple of small crappies while trolling. Was a great day to be on the water, but then again every day on the water is a great day. Hopefully the fishing picksa up as the water cools down?

Was just going to ask how people have been doing on Wilhelm....The eyes are in there, but with all them gizzard shad good luck catching them on artificials.

Anyone fishing this Lake?? any success??
 
I heard they stocked 3,500 musky fingerling to help take care of the gizzard shad population....considering how bad it is 3,500 sounds like a small number.

PFBC didn't just start to stock musky for gizzard shad...

Speaking of Wilhelm, I fished it a lot in the 80's and we just tore up on slab Crappie back then. Does the lake still produce good numbers??

PSU thanks for the additional info, the paper made it sound like this was a "special" stocking to help rid the gizzard shad.....
 
Gymi03 ---not to many slabs anymore a ton of crappie just mostly small.

You can't expect the journalists to take the time to research and find the facts

It was additional Muskies provided by three rivers muskie club these fish are in addition to the fish commission stockings that you can find listed on the fish commissions website.

so the shad are eatin all the musky :p
