The fishline maintenance: 1. At the end of fishing, one should wipe the water left on the fishing line immediately with dry cloth. As the fishing water may consist a lot of impurities, including a number of oils, salts, alkalis, acids, and other ingredients, which will corrode the fishing line thus reduce its strength. 2. Gently wind the clean lines around the winding wheel, try to get the lines slack, not tight, because prolonged exposure can lead to fishing lines lose their original flexibility. 3. It is better to choose the round-shape winding wheel. The rectangular wheel has right angles, and the strength on the bending corner of the line will decline after being placed for a long time and the line will appear edge marks. 4. All fishing lines should be stored in dry places, avoid light and pollution, to prevent moisture metamorphism and aging. 5. When you go fishing, store the winding wheel in a separate place and do not squeeze it with other debris(especially oils), so as not to scratch the fishing line. 6. If you find the color of fishing line is changing, fading, yellowing, or the line becomes brittle, it means the fishing line has been worn out and should be replaced in a timely manner. Otherwise, if the line breaks during fishing, you may lose the fish on your hand and regret for yourself.

"moisture metamorphism........What in blazes is that?"

I believe it has to do with the religous rites/tenents of those who worship Poseidon.
