Hey Charlie- whats your take on the new wall in the LFZ ??- recall conversations here about it very early before fishing. Dont  fish that hole myself too much but it looks kinda inviting.

Uhhhhhh......   to me it's the town pool.  I won't fish there again. I did because HT and Clint did, but not my cup of tea.I couldn't take it and split for home early both times. Doesn't mean it's not good.   It still has the same capacity as prime holding water as before the change.   There's a seam along the wall- the top and bottom are the prime, a few obvious current breaks in between. Easy to fish. Might be tough with cold temps, high water  and little weight  in the  head where it falls off the ledge into a holding spot.  It'd be a good spot for you to check out on those days when it's snowing and no one's  around. Watch them steps! They're going to be hell to come down when it gets icy.  Long handled net would be good if you're alone.  Now a second tier of rocks allow you to get down off the path- another few hundred cfs and that'll  make it a little dicey.   The tail's probably the safest bet.  The wall  made that pool very park-like;  it reminds me of a stocked pond in the middle of a city, complete with toddlers and dogs.   Still, a very productive place.   Nancy actually attended the church of the church pool a few weeks ago.  She said the people were very friendly, including the Ellis family, as in Ellis Cove.  I'm more apt to be struck by lightening just parking there......
I belong out on the Niagara in the Devil's Hole. lol
Bear, I have no doubt I'll run into you on some cold morning with the fog coming off the water.  Or it snowing like hell.  Prime time.   Be glad to meet you.

A rusty old chevy can run a few lights, jump a curb and duck into some alleys and get away from me.  I wish I had your experience, 2b.

I give permission to call me out on this whine but I thought we fished there from a decision we both made..
Oh well, I'll still fish there but from the north side is where I feel the best presentation can be made from..

Sorry to not keep in touch as the last 2 weeks have been all outdoors for me, work, play and more work cutting food.. No real time (now included) to sit down here or at the J.O.B. and write something that could possibly be meaningful, not that I do anyway..lol
Alas, my time is short again as just finished loading the truck for another two days outdoors hunting sun up to sundown and I'm sure cutting more meat monday (still 1 on the hook) ..

It's not the weather, it's slightly the fish as twobob said, but more so now the other factors..
I'm a happy camper spending time with friends "on" the water catching fish , eating food and B.S. about our adventures.. Besides they taste good with venison..
Stop fishing just because it's cold outside ?? NEVER !!

Be well friends as I have a holiday party to attend tonight .

fichy like i say i'll still fish them.
they just don't get the rise in blood pressure fall fish do.
experience?
you've caught enough of both to know what i'm talking about.
i'm just lucky enough to have water within 10 minutes drive where i can catch them.
other than the overcrowding its water may be better for winter fish than the sr.

many like yourself don't have that luxuary.
