Yup bob, i was quite courageous spitting out the 2500 a week and a half before the actual event... but remeber there were question marks behind it and also we still have two and a half days to go til wednesday
Since this morning a trib to the north has quadrupled in flow, the salmon is now running over 500... a possible 3/4 inch on tuesday... still interested to see...with the natural tribs swelling up makes one wonder the reservoir must be filling up pretty good...i guess time will tell at this point

well ya gots ta factor in the snow on the tug melting slower cause it just does in the woods even in winter and as of now they are still only releasing 335 from the dam so i don't think it id lapping at the overflow yet.
625 in pville so the is up 70cfs or so from where it was before the snow event started.
Unless the rain hits there in a 1 hour downpour i'm thinking more like 1500-1800.
lets split the difference and boldy call for 2150 as a forcast team.
now if you would make it stay under 1000 thru tues 2 pm i would appreciate it or i going to go collecting some brown eggs instead of catching the last of the seriously hot chrome of the season.

2bee... I would say keep a close eye on the flow charts but I know you already do... the trib to the north now flowing 10 * what it was 1 day ago...tug is melting off hard... you might just make it with your Tuesday trip though... I think it's going to be a blowout Lake day Tuesday... mid sixty's thunderstorms and accumulate ing rain into Tuesday night.... just what we need... for me this the perfect setup for my favorite time of year... almost like an early Christmas present

well ho ho ho and a happy new year to you!
here's hoping you get what you're hoping for and the time to enjoy it.
i don't watch the gauges for the other tribs since i haven't fished them since the 80s when they crowded up,back then mostly with the worst of the snaggers and lifters and they have no direct effect on the sr.

clint you gonna take a ride near the res any time in the near future.
if so a detour over there for a pic would be interesting to see how full it really is at this point.
not worth wasting precious time to do but if you were nearby anyway.

Hey Bob, sent you a PM on SC. when are you heading out? and is anyone coming with you? gauge reads 637 and climbing this am. I only fish when the temps are above 60 and sunny, so maybe i will give it a couple hrs tomorrow.

carphd i will be los lonly boy on tues.
chuck l head has very limited times to get out.
i will, if flow doesn't make me change plans, be out first light tues and fish till noon or 1 then grab a sub at Al's and head for the barn.
if it looks like to much water for my preferred fishing i will be on a trib midway between our homes at first light.

TB don't know when I will make it up, but I put the word out to a few friends that live up that way to snap me a pic if they go by.   I will try to get out Thursday if the water is not too high.  I only know a few spots to fish above 1k

it looks like it peaked out at pville a little over 650 and fell back just a tad.
unless they breach the dam 2500 seems out of the question.
650 on the other hand is extremely fishable.
i only hope some pods of quicksilver are making their way thru my slots tomorrow morning.
that is the trouble with fishing for freshies.
they are either moving thru or not but you rarely have a hole full of the same fish day after day like upriver.

it wasn't my day.
either they had already moved thru the water i chose to start at, they hadn't gotten up there yet or they just didn't like what i was offering.
fished below laski from 7 til 9:15 without a hint of a fish.
when i fished the upper most pocket i could see to other guys but never saw them hooked uo either.
of course i could easily have missed any action they had.
moved up to altmar since i wanted to pick up a few things from malinda anyways.
fished below the bridge in good water and blanked totally.
5 others in sight, not counting the dudes with no waders, and the only thing i saw was a 4ish pound winter dark male taken by a bottom bouncer using eggs.
rolled for home around noon stopping to check on tribs.
no water and nothing but el moldos.

carphd i should have taken you up on the boat ride you offered.at least i could have had conversation with an old friend but i greedily wanted the last of the hotties for the year.
turned out to be my bad on all fronts.

must say the river was extremely fishable and lightly fished.
the only place that looked crowded was the lfz looking up from the bridge and that was maybe 10 or 12 people.
