Well here is the report and is is not all that good.   Altmar and Pulaski have way more snow than me, but it is melting.   I went to the LFZ in hopes of a spot and was prepared to move on if none.   I was able to get a decent spot, but it was a bit crowded.  I fished from 9 till 130.   Very few fish on today with multiple players reporting no takes at all and a few more reporting only 1 or 2.   There were sporadic fish on all morning  but it was not steady and listening in I heard several times   "AWWW $h1t   it's foul hooked".   What is was was COLD and WINDY.  The place started to clear out at around 11:00 due to the poor bite and there was room on either side.  After it cleared out I worked the whole wall and managed on good hook up but after a few head shakes it was gone.   The fish that were taken were starting to winter up with very few jumps and alot taking it and just sitting there until they were started to be pulled off the lower 1/3 of the one.   Except for Altmar not alot of pressure.

RG I would say you may be OK after tomorrows rain of it comes down hard as far as plowing, but if you are going up tonight you might want to call.

I have every Thursday and Friday off until Christmas so if it stays half way decent as far as temps I will get some more in.   Most ponds had a bit of ice so not long until that happens.

Yup, some forecasts saying a possible 1/2 inch tomorrow night and another possible 1/2 inch on tuesday... im interested to see whats gonna happen. I know i courageously said something a week ago about 2500 cfs; probably not gonna get that but we gotta get something out of it...cant wait to see!

At least you had a hook-up , Clint. Without significant raises in water level,it's fishing over the same fish that've been there and seen it all.  I doubt there's many that haven't been hooked multiple times. If the water goes up this week, it may become a new ball game.  Plenty of reports of bright fish down river.  Thanks for the report. I'm hoping for higher water by the end of the week. Unfortunately, I only know a few spots to fish in 2500, so I hope it stays down around 1,000.  Sorry, Dime we're at cross-wishes....

Hoping it goes way up tomorrow  and early next week and comes down a bit for the end of next week when I can go.   I really don't like more than 1k.

Charlie, i dont prefer 2500 over 1000... but i prefer to see the water go higher than my likings and then steadily come down to a stable flow preferably around 1000-1500... it cleans the river of people, debris and spreads the fish out, also bringing fresh fish in.... once it stabilizes at a steady flow for a couple days its usually my favorite time to fish... it never seems to happen to often in the past few years though....

I know i bravely said i didn't think it would go to 2500cfs last week.
i can't wait to see what happens between now and wed.
it doesn't look like brookfield is too concerned with the backed up water busting their dam since they are still releasing 325 cfs.
and pville gaude has only gone to 466 from the 455 its been the last few days.
myselfself i'm hoping for a release of 500 to keep the lower river filling with fresh dimers.

Am kinda in Charlies corner- dont really like water much over 1000-at 2500 I lurk around the river and fish very little. (sorry Andy) Agree completley on the couple of days to stabelize and then BITE.
Think there will be little releases if any due to low levels and we will mostly be experiencing local runoffs. Of course they may want to finally make some Juice and some $$$ and do some turbine related releases.
Kinda think any increases will help the fresh fishes move up and make the fishing better. 600 to 800 or so always seems (to me) to be just fine for the fish to get excited.
