Article in the Tribune yesterday about the Tamarack draw down.
Hopefully they put some pressure in the right place & at least get a plan of attack.
Shame to see it sit there & turn into a cesspool.

Hopefully money is found somewhere but I doubt they'll be getting any from the Corps of Engineers.  Their budget has been slashed for each of the last several years.

By ice fishing season the BIG fishes will have ate up the LITTLE fishes. Then the BIG fishes will die from lack of O2.
The deepest part of the lake is only 6ft. deep now.

id be suprised if the musky and walleye make it thru this summer...
 
id hope that it gets fixed sooner or later, whether they have to drain it or not.
 
just was looking at a guys picture album of walleyes him and friends caught last yr, and was pretty impressed.

just an update: No real progress, but contractor bids are due by 7-11...

This year I'm doing the Fish-A-Thon at Tamarack. Half of the money I raise goes to repair the dam, so I'm giving it a go. I'd hate to see this lake get worse.
