Any one else experiencing the dead sea affect on Pymie?  I cant even get a bite!  This is crazy.  All Im looking for is a few keeper crappie or perch to have one fish fry before spring!  Any one getting any crappies any where out there or perch?  Its bad when I go to Wilhelm and catch 50 gills plus a day (no keepers though) and cant pay enough to the fish gods at Pymie to even get a fish interested!

That seems to be the general consensus of just about everybody I've talked to that's been on pymie lately. Don't beat yourself up to much. It'll heat up.

that lake took a beating a couple of springs ago by the amish and everybodys brother cousin aunt and uncle. since then it seems to have turned into a not so hot lake, don't get me wrong there are still fish to be caught ,its just a little tuffer for the average joe to get there limit.

You can add the crappie die off also to the list.  The only crappies I'm catching are the small paper thin ones that are around 7-8 inches.  Getting some gills but I have to work for them.  Have to fish out of a shanty or you won't see the fish biting.   They are just sucking in the bait very, very lightly.  If your sitting on a bucket in the open you wouldn't see the bite.

Yesterday Snodgrass had a pretty weak edge.  Jamestown had about 4.5 inches with a little white ice mixed.  I wanted to fish snodgrass but didnt look to safe so I passed.  Might lock up tight again over there with these next few days of cold weather.

Likestofish, My buddy and I was off of Tuttle Beach on Sunday. The ice was about 5" but milky-white. It had some blowing snow/ some bare spots that were extremely slippery. Unfortunately we got the "El Skunko" and that doesn't happen very often. But according to other reports, we were about par. Good luck.   Lou

Thanks for the reports. Without the fish cooperation hardly find it worth the trip. Guess it will be catching eyes and slabs from the boat next time up. Thanks again for the info.
