Do guys looking for trout go more to the dam or do they stay shallower. Not looking for specific spots. Just wanting to get an idea

I mainly target trout, alot of guys fish up near the boat lauch were its shallow.  Myself I fish down towards the dam.  I have setup near the middle of the lake down around the dam and can find the main channel and a few of my friends have caught some nice eyes and I know we had a real nice musky hooked down that way that we lost.

When you fish the deeper water for trout how deep will you usually start at? I've only fished shallow water through the ice for trout

Saturday and Sunday lots of people out . Lots of kids having fun with the stock trout . Ice was better . A few were out by the beach , and lone pine . About time to hit the deeper water for perch and walleye . Sue's has bait also . Be safe .
