Was wondering if anyone was out around 2 Mile Run (Justice Lake) in Venango county would like to hit it this saturday.  I am guessing with this hard cold snap should make 5 inches or so by saturday.  But just wondering if anyone had been out there to check it this week.

My son and I went yesterday at 4:00. 1/22/13. The launch end was iced in however by the dam it was spoty. At the launch there was less than 2 inches,and as we walked on the dock and it rocked back and forth the ice cracked all the way across the lake. Never have I seen that happen before as water came out of the crack and melted the snow in a 2 foot streak on the ice across lake. I am sure with the temp it sealed right back up, and withoutthe snow it will probably freeze better at the streak. I would guess the boat launch end would be fishable by the weekend.
   Does anyone know when they are going to stock. I want to take the grandkids who will have a ball with the easy stockies.

Stocking date is 02-06-13 , around 1000-1200   Brook Trout . Stocking time is 10am at the boat launch .

Thank you, my son and I fish for perch there and the trout are a nusance, However put an ice pole in the 8 and 10 yr olds hands and with those fresh stocks they have a ball.

Was out fishing Two Mile today 4in. of good hard ice,I figured there would be more with all the cold weather we had this week. Nobody else in sight, I was in the middle of the lake about 150 yards down, typical day of fishing on that lake, one small gill, but felt good to get out. Where to tomorrow?

Just one week ago that was open water. I'd speculate that may be why no one else has been on it yet.

Anyone make two mile today?  Lookin for some kind of report for ice down around dam end of lake.  Was hoping to make it out there today but things changed so might go tomorrow.

Do you guys just mainly target trout?

When I was out I was targeting fish, caught many trout and panfish where I was in the past, so I was up for anything. One small gill is why we nicknamed it THE DEAD SEA !!!
