Well the times did not line up for fishing today.   Dropped dog  off at vet for surgery this AM at 900.  They said plan on a late AM or early PM pickup.  Went to Tractor supply and got a chain for the blower on the tractor and picked up a few things from the store.  They called at 1200 and said I can get him at 230.  Between worrying about the dog, being paranoid about missing a call   and the drizzle I did not feel like going. 
I have jinxed the snow by getting the chain on , and finally having the 82 inch blower on the tractor ready for action, so do not plan on getting anymore this year.     If it does not rain too bad  or if the river does not get blown out I am planning on Thursday, Friday or maybe both.  
Well off to get the dog and then home to take a nap.

Dog is home  and after a nap he is still sleepy and I am not.   Rained, but not hard pretty much all day.

Good to hear all is well with your best friend.Had my girl,Mollie the Boxer,to the groomer to get her nails done today.The look on her face as the grinder was buzzing would make you think they were torturing her,she was very happy to get off the table and get out of there
I'll be out west chasing Steel over the holidays

PA Blaze is a Boxer too.  He had alot of Epulus in his mouth that had to be removed.   The vet said it is VERY common for Boxers to get them.   I have had 3, and all 3 have been in multiple times for this removal.   She said they actually call it Boxer mouth.    Thanks for the well wishes and go get em.

went up on sat fished the lower end not even a bite for over 4 hours  didnt see anyone else with one on  went up to the upper end parking lots were filled on both sides walked over to the unemployment hole no one there all by the bridge my brother went done river looked like salmon season all over agin  first cast in the hole and bam one on and off had a good time went 3 for six in about 3 hours I dont count the ones i dont get to fight for a little while  sunday we went back up and again nobody in the hole first cast and we had a double on too lazy to go after them  some young kid came down and said this was his first time steelhead fishing hooked him up with some flies and then I hooked a nice rainbow and gave him the rod this kid must have walked almost all the way to the school house befor i could catch up to him showed him how to work the fish in and i neted it  that kids smile was so big he just couldnt wait to show it off.  well we hit a couple other and gave him the rods to fight the fish
that to me is what fishing is all about meeting people and sharing what you got

Nice work sarge, I only got to fish in Altmar for a few hours Saturday, but had a feeling the bite was gong to turn on.  I want to hit it Thursday befor the water goes way up.
