Mine lasted quite a long while through thick and thin and in our conversations I may have referenced that after so long things change about perspective on the Lake O tribs.. 
Seems at a rapid pace these days but still, the fish come for us and now it's not so much the fish we challenge..
So Lets hope a few years longer Charlie..
While I'm not in your town and I hear the same things from my local been there group.

Methinks that if we all got to hunt or fish those pristine places we would imagine ourselves to want to enjoy there would need to be either a heck of a lot less of us- or a heck of a lot more places to go.
 Mr ( or Mrs) Soopreme aint makin any more places soooo- therefore we gotta grin and bear those other filthy beings who get in our way - or just go nuts--lol.
  Personally _ aint quittin what I love to do cause some other guy is a slob. I will ignore him- abuse him on a bad day- or just move on and avoid him- may even pickup his trash on my way out -but -I AINT changing my lifestyle or giving something I cherish because of him.
  I will never give those people that much power or influence over my life. 
   Just go fish

You are usually using a #2 hook with three wraps of estaz, and I NEVER see you dragging fish, even on the rare days when you are catching them!  More points for the badge!!!!
 
And I wear an Orvis vest, it was the best deal I could get when I was still working for the Orvis Shop.  SInce that was about 30 years ago, it may be time for me to think about a new vest, or just cutting back to one flybox, a spool or two of tippet, and a small bag of shot.  And there will be wing shooting for feral hogs off the Pineville Bridge on that day!

Sure glad another auto parts store was built to fix all those out of state POS cars that are here for a month. Not to mention all the bait  and tackle they get at TSC.
