Thank you dvk. I wonder how much of that is black ice? I'm a pretty hefty boy. Last year I went out on 5 inches on Kahle, to find out there were only about 2 inches of good ice and 3 inches of junk. I drilled holes and water came shooting up out. I left. LOL!

Has anyone been on Kahle lately? I'm thinking about taking my boys out on Sunday and I want to make sure that there is safe ice. Thank you.

IMO, if I have to ask if there is any safe ice around...it's too early to be thinking about taking my kids out.
 
 

You're probably right. It's just that I haven't been on any ice yet. I don't know if there are four or 8 inches. I haven't heard anything about the ice since that super cold night two days ago. I get what you are saying though. Bogey, you are always the voice of reason. Thank you.

fished it thursday, there is 4-6 inches of ice . did well brought 25 fish home craps, gills and perch mix.
