guys still out there as of last night on the south end... BE CAREFUL, DRILL TEST HOLES... IN 3 FT OF WATER, NOT 50...

Toothy what depth of water are you fishing in Heidikouper. We have been setting the North end for pike outside the canal in 5ft of water and have just been picking up a few pike here and there. Heading to Heidikouper this weekend with a bucket full of shiners.
 

8 - 10 feet between the ice and the weeds about a foot to  afoot and a half below the ice.  all day.

Had another pretty decent day out yesterday.  Had 11 flags but only managed to land 4 fish. 2 broke off, and we missed the others .  Finally did manage to get on the panfish for a little while in the evening.  17 bull gills caught from 4:30 - 5:30.  Fish dinner tonight! Solid 6" of ice.  Even saw a few snowmobiles out tearing around.

FISHING HAS PICKED UP AT CONNEAUT - DOING  PRETTY GOOD ON GILLS AND PIKE. IT WAS A LITTLE SLOWER ON THE PANFISH YESTERDAY (3-3-13) - I LEFT WITH 35 AROUND 1:30 BUT DIDN'T GET STARTED TILL 8:30. ICE IS STILL GOOD (4-5IN.). THE ICE IS MELTING FARTHER OUT FROM SHORE ON THE SOUTH END BUT STILL GOOD. SORRY ABOUT NOT POSTING SOONER BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ON THE COMPUTER MUCH LATELY DUE TO WORK AND FISHING. TOOK TODAY OFF TO REST UP AND HIT IT AGAIN TOMORROW (3-5-13).  GOOD LUCK ALL !
