I enjoyed winter but ready for spring time weather and flyfishing, thinking of new wadung boots but not sure what to buy yet, i had simms riverteks from years ago, the new ones look great but they are pricey..also still rather have felt for safety. I heard too many slippery stories in the felt less boots. I also believe feltless or not, micro algea is going to spread no matter what in enforced. jmho

I would n't buy felt now as you may find them to be banned in the near future.Good rubber with studs is the way to go now,but it's your decision.Look at LLBean, good quality and great service.

thanks i'll check ll bean, I am in no rush, still plenty of tread on my old simms..just starting to crack wear the synthetic boot meets the sole, I will consider studs in a good vibram. thanks pa
