Thanks , Dime,

I stopped at Home Depot tonight on the way home from the wake and bought some homebuilder's strapping and hardware to re-assemble the Korker that died yesterday.

Time for you to put away the hammer for a few days and worry some fish!

Putting down the hammer today only to pick up the jack hammer and shovel!!! Lol...
I actually took your tip about the waterfall spot and made it out to a waterfall spot of mine this past Friday. No luck for me but I did see quite a few fish trying to jump the falls... I spent most time untangling my son's line :)
I am going to try my darndest To hit the creek drop That will be happening; When??? I dunno ;)

You can go fishing or you can take a kid fishing, but generally you can't do both.  But if things go right you'll have someone to take you when you are getting old and need help with the knots and the driving.

At this point in the run, anytime you can get away is the best time to go, high water, low water, in between water.  And my 2 best days have been when I only had 1-1.5 hours to fish.

Lucky, all ive had this whole season for the most part were 1-2 hour outings and ive faired pretty well...my son has been out a few times this season. Ive got him set up with a 6'6" spin rod with an open face.... i keep the drag loose and set a weighted styrifoam bobber up on it. He casts by himself and drifts good. The bobber relieves me from hoim getting hung up on the bottom. Im just waiting for the day that bobber goes down. It should happen soon... he has a fly rod and reel in a five weight. I think hes ready to start practicing that this spring and summer for trout and bass as he will be six in a few weeks... im looking forward to a few years from now when he wont need any direction from me and i can finally start fishing again

Yea it's as high as I have seen in a while up there and looks as if it may have crested.

That's what I am feeling  HT.    I have been driving here or there up north  ice fishing pretty much every Saturday and Sunday for the last 2 months.   I may be ready for a break and stay home.   If the river calms a little and sinks to  around 1k I may sneak up but I am really not feeling it.  The bug will bite soon enough though and hopefully so will the fish.
