My daughter went to all three Phish shows at SPAC and AC.  Nice to be young and still in college.

The boys played one of my fav's in the first set up in RI, Reuben and Cherise.
"When Reuben played on his painted mandolin
The breeze would pause to listen in before going on its way again"
Nice setlist for Canandaigua also.  Minglewood>brown eyed women, reminds me of Barton Hall 1977

Nice show at Bethel Woods.
Phil & Friends at Gathering of the Vibes was outstanding.  Hornsby & Weir with Branford Marsalis was so-so.

Forty years ago I too sick to go back to college from a strep infection (had my tonsils out when I was nineteen).  In the meantime I worked and drove a POS 1965 Chevy II Nova and was waiting for my draft notice (draft lottery #27, 1A) that never came.  I was prepared to enlist in the Air Force if it did.  Never did join the hippie movement but enjoyed the music, I was still a jock at heart.  Oh the good old days when a Milky Way bar was still a nickle and a six pack of Ruppert or Carling Black Label was 99 cents at the local Grand Union.  Gasoline was 29.9 a gallon.

Was a tin knocker with local 40 out of Hartford and goin to apprentice school some nights.--Glad that changed -lol
Kinda liked Joplin and the Stones in those days-heck still do. Generally those peace and happiness protest singers didnt all get my attention too much although I did get to the  Powder Ridge Festival around 1970 or so.
Went to see Dylan a few years ago in Newport -- dit dit dit da da da da guitar guitar dit dit dit da da da sounded like the same song over an over to me. Folks in the audience were a hoot to watch  though.  Then he left with an outlaw MC gang covering him.  To each his own music though and most folks think he's great.
Personally like to see the 50s and early 60s bands. Most are no longer original though. Guess they got so they couldnt remember their own  songs anymore.
OHMIKRIKIES how did we get here from the SR ??? Sharks cant come soon enough.
BTW- if ya ever see grey hair (well -a little hair) buzz by  in a pickup truck on the Throughway with Janice or Start Me Up  turned up all the way -its me.

Heck I remember sittin in a bar in Naples in the late 60s and gettin 10 oz. glasses of strong Rum and Cokes for .32 cents (American)--We bought Cigs in the Ships store for $1.10  a carton and soldem on shore for a $10- all to support our days of "sightseeing".
