How can this be happening from flood to 185.   After they drained the initial overflow from the  res and all the run off was done   just like last year  they keep draining it for 2 weeks   with ABSOLUTELY NO RAIN IN THE FORECAST.   Last time I knew this was the  guy in charge

I'll take a flyer and guess that 185 is close to water in wter out.
Probably how they agreed on it for the summer flows.
I'm sure they are expecting average rains(what can you do but rely on past history to repeat itself since it is out of human's hands anyway) which would bump it to full capacity but not flood stage at this point.
Of course if we get no rain again this year they're dickweeds that shoulod have known better.

Would have to guess that they got the res down to Full and then proceeded to do the minimum required flow.
Hope it doesnt impact the King fry too much.
Seems like they had a huge amount of water come through much quicker than normal when it finally decided to thaw late and fast up there.

Yea,  it's way too early to know anything.   My fly collection  took a beating so I have some work in front of me too.

anyone still fishing it?
are the fish still in the river or did the flood/drought force them out?

Meant to go up, but home stuff keeps gettin in the way.   It's like nobody did a thing around here all  fall and winter but tie flies and fish.   I still may try later this week................

Heard there are still a few left throughout and some are starting to chrome back up.

Bear, the water is reallyyyyyyyy lowwwwwww...... i managed to get out today from tall bridge up to the corner between the two bridges. No luck for me and my son in about an hours effort before dark. Hopefully we'll hit douglaston tomorrow before they close and maybe hit one of the last days of evening action. Suns been real strong with no clouds... couple that with the abrupt water drop and it seems to be sparsing out pretty quickly. Id imagine there are late run spawners out and about as usual every year. Im thinking this weekend could be semi productive if luck and or persistence prevails... on the other hand, the weather is beautiful and smallies are creeping in. If you have the time and money to spare a trip, go for it!!!!
