Yea, Jerry was always so high that you would not notice it if he switched up a little on what he got there on.

I was backstage at the Capitol in Portchester in April or May of 1970, and the GD had enough beer to run a Walmart on a Friday night stacked up.  I'm sure it was for the roadies, Weir was rumored to be in the upstairs room with a tank of NO at the time.

But over the years, Bobbie was always the one who was usually close to sober, and when you consider 150+ shows a year for 30-40 years, a couple of bad ones (and pain meds or muscle relaxers and alchohol can have some unpredicatable and heavy interactions) could lead to something like this.  I doubt this would happen for more than one show in a row.

Furthur, Lesh and Weir's band released a notice that they were cancelling an upcoming May 9th show because Weir will be unable to perform in any capacity for the next several weeks.  Rehab?
