I was at the show.  IMO he was drunker than a hoot owl ( drugged too).  Weir stumbled , mumbled and bumbled around the stage until he finally fell during Unbroken Chain.  He did Me and My Uncle during the first set and if you didn't recognize the music you wouldn't have recognized the song.  The show was akin to watching a three hour train wreck.

The first time I leaning and fall and thought he had a stroke.
Later I saw this clip and it seemed he was carrying such a load he couldn't stay upright.
With the band playing on it seemed they were prepared for it.
Got to keep the labels on the bottles.
Its Dayquill before the show.
Nitequill after.
Never the other way round.

Weir lost his balance a number of times during the first set.  Before he collapsed the roadies came out to assist him.  They brought out a chair but he refused to sit kicking it to the side.  By the time Unbroken Chain began Weir was leaning heavily against the amplifier.  The roadies had at that point either disconnected or shut off his guitar.  After falling they placed him in the chair, he continues to try to play but no sound is coming from the amp.  I honestly thought that he had a heart attack but from the reaction of his band mates you get the impression that they knew what was happening.  No Dayquill, Nitequill, Ambien or any other OTC product.  He had an old fashioned "toot" on.  Phil Lesh came out after a short break and said that Bob was treated by a doctor earlier that day for a shoulder problem.  That may be so but anything more is BS.  This is not the first time he was so loaded that he fell onstage.  He pulled the same act at the Best Buy Theater, Times Square, NYC in 2010.

If ya wanna sit around and watch drunks or druggies fall over themselves I can suggest some places ya can do it for free much closer to home.
Woulda demanded my money and travel expenses back.
Heard Mick Jagger say in an interview that they did some shows way back under the influence and realized the fans got lousy performances- They changed that - at least on stage.

You're right.  I can go to the Toyota Theater in Wallingford, support the local economy and watch a show.  Or I could watch the show in lovely downtown Meriden for free.

Lookin down from Tressel North in Sept  and Oct is the best free 'reality show' ever.
Tell me L/E cant make a living with no phone calls or tips right there all season.
  Must be another 'secret spot'.
