Gennuine bear... it would be nice if most thought and acted like yourself. Hey, i saw a guy last night with a shirt that said "shut up and fish" and a raven floats hat. Was that your friend?

Agree on the whole flood issue - Nature has the upper hand.
Hear complaints about Res too low and then Res too high. Fact is- would bet the folks running the dams have more knowledge and experience than all the second guessers will ever compile. It is after all how they make their living. Am just glad they have established MINIMUM flows as opposed to the occasional blowout.
Love the suing God point- lol

HT nicely said.

DB I heard  the same thing

L13 Your right, last year we were bit(hing and moaning that they let out too much all spring and ruined it for the summer.  THAT SAID IF someone would have taken a ride up to the tug they would have known how much snow was up there to run off, just like  last year they would have known how little there was to run off.  My dad worked for Nimo for close to 40 years and in the spring they would drive up a few times a week during spring and run off season and take snow sample and ground samples to see water content.   Some of the old timers  could tell just by taking a shovel  or 2 full of dirt  or snow up.   That , to my knowledge is not happening now.  Pencil pushers hours away are making the decisions without even coming up to look.

I'm sure that is the case Clint.
Brookfield is at least two buyers away from nimo.
Just like the big box stores in Indiana stocking salt rods but no crappy poles as management gets further removed from the locality so does the up to date local knowledge.
The mantra of big corps is cut costs make money.
A long way from being sueable.
Since ya can't control nature and nobody is giving away crystal balls there is no negligence.
Just business as usual in New Americorp.

Great observation on the 'box stores' with their unusual display of all the wrong things-
There was a series of posts here some time ago about just that.
Always think it kinda sad watching some of the popular 'outdoor tv' when the boxes are sponsoring the show and saying how they 'have all your needs' - then ya go there and search and search for basics the dont have.
Many clerks are right outa Urbania and have never placed a foot off of pavement- when ya ask a question they just give that thousand yard stare-lol. In time they get promoted and turn into the people who buy that carp - more lol.
