19 April – The lake elevation is 894.62 feet; approximately summer pool level (894.67). This morning it is cloudy and 69 degrees. The water temp on Monday morning was 43 degrees. Sluice gates 2, 4 & 6 are open 1 foot each at the dam. The downstream water level was 3.08 feet. For daily lake information call 724-962-4384. Fished below dam yesterday and managed 12 trout,1 perch,1 bluegill. I used olive caddis. My brother did well with spinners and caught two goldens and 18 other trout.
They stocked at the bridge but not at the dam. Dumped a load of trout there. Good luck and wade safe.

Was there yesterday at the outflow with my girlfriend and buddy after a wasted Pymie trip.  Caught about 25 trout (Assorted bows and browns.) 2 small wipers and a few panfish.  Highlight was a cast into the plume and drift and something Large slender and brownish hooked up and ran me for about 5 minutes.  I was assuming it was a Musky for the size and brownish color but it could have been a large pike.  Anyone know of any Musky in Shenango?  Needless to say I wasn't expecting the fishing to be as great as it was.
