Today was my first on hardwater, a few weeks late but not a dollar short.
-1 at arrival just at sun up.
11" solid ice. 14 traps set between 3 people, well below our legal limit of 7 each.
Chased flags all day. 13 pike iced, 5 kept over 20 flags tripped.
No wind was a blessing and we never sat in a shanty.
I have 3 more opportunities to walk on water before 2020 and I'm going to take full advantage.
Big lakes north are very close for Lakers.

Stay safe , on top and have a fantastic 20 weeks on ice.

My plan was to fish tomorrow, Sunday and new year's eve locally. It's now going to be a challenge to get on hardwater below the blue line ( adirondacks). For sure I can get on good ice up in them mountains.
I know a few local places but might end up doing more driving than walking on waters.
If all else fails, I got some wabbits to chase

So 3 out of 4 days in 2019 logged.
Raining hard now, it's not to my liking.
I don't know if today's lake access will survive until Tuesday. I may be heading to higher hills or just sit Tuesday out. I do know I'm fishing on 1/1/2020 though
