Well today was much better,crowds thinned out every where,I had no one within 300 yds of me until around 9;30 ,then a couple showed up but did n't crowd me.I managed several hook ups with some hard takes.I did not land any but had a few epic battles.From what I could tell they were fresh,frisky Coho.I was near my secret spot way up river.I quit right after noon,I'm here until SAT, so I have plenty of time.

Good to hear Jack. Weekend warriors kinda make up the mass. I should have just bit the bullet and fished with you today.
A coworker went over the weekend and went to get his spot at 3am, it was already taken. He left for home Sunday morning disgusted and didn't fish yesterday.

I'm glad your getting into good fishing

To me fishing is supposed to be fun- not getting up so early that I get to a certain spot at 3am and hanging around locking down that spot till its light enough to fish.
Even worse, one may suppose, for the guy who was already there -lol.
IMHO that aint fun.

Got out late today,9:30,got same spot as yesterday,hookrd a Steely right away,lost it at the bank.A little while later tied into a fresh King,it almost tore my thumb off on a run in fast heavy water.It was way into my running line and I broke it off.Hooked into a few more and then my engine wore out,so I quit for the day.Tomorrow I will hit it again.
It was too hot today,the crowd was thin but it was not empty.

Found the Kings to be VERY strong a couple of weeks back too- fresh and fiesty.
Not overly thrilled with my trip next weeks outlook without a big push within a day or so.
I know they are spread out but -as a guide actually said today- still just trickling in.
 

I think I will walk around a bit tomorrow.

Anyone hear about a drift boat that hit the trestle and capsized over the weekend? Buddy of mine lives up there and he was telling me. I guess it's a total zoo with the 350CFS.
