STEELHEAD FISHING HOWS THE STEELHEAD FISHING LOOKING FOR THIS YEAR IN NOVEMBER

Time will tell.....still early. We are not seeming them all that much right now trolling, unless we get over towards North East. Last year was stellar lake fishing for them, but seemed like a lot of guys complained about the creek fishing. Been this way for a couple years. Right now surface temps are hovering in the 72 to 74 degree mark, so we need a drop in temp come fall to get them moving.

If November is like last year, I expect about the same results.

I think the numbers are in the lake, but something is happening to them. They are either heading somewhere else, or just not running like in the past. I also think the fantastic walleye population is hurting the returns. We only got nice size steelies last year, no mid-range fish. Same with perch.....has to be some logical reason as to why we are not catching any smaller fish......what we have got are slobs.

It is also funny the numbers of steel-head numbers are getting better in Ohio.......Cuyahoga, Rocky and Vermilion. I even heard of a few caught towards Old Woman Creek.

I think the bigger steelies were stocked in tribs/lake before the current walleye explosion. The smolts dumped in last few years and this year, stand little chance.
