talkin about the bowfin...  i'm a huge proponent of irradiation of non-natives

for the amount of fish left in a 1 acre pool  cant be that many , to insure complete eradication of carp , kill everything in the pool, to ensure a better restocking

would take one heck of a car battery...  any chemical use would end up down stream.  

Meadville tribune says they are closing the valves today at 11 am  to start the refill process

One of the Erie news stations sent a reporter to the lake to live stream the re-dedication of the lake on the book of faces.

Thought some of the Tamarack fans might be interested, hope the link works.  
 
Being a flood control project, hopefully all the recent rains will help Tamarack reach her full pool of 13 feet sooner then expected and quicken her restocking of fishes.

Drove past the lake today to see how the water level is progressing. It is going slow, both ends have pools and you could see some water through the center sections, mainly in the creek channel. Hard to tell exactly how much water is in there due to the vegetation. 
While looking at the south dam a Linesville hatchery guy pulled in to stock golden shiners for a forage base. He said they put in a bunch of bass fingerlings in the week before. I didn't take any pictures but at least progress is being made.
