I went spotting tonight after I got done hunting and seen 4 shooter bucks from the property across your mine. I would say roughly a quarter mile away. One group of four bucks and.one group of three bucks.. the one buck is in the hitlist he is a stud. So do I move closer in on them or sit and wait for the bucks to break up? All deer were in fields one corn one pasture..

The ruts nearly here and they will come to you. make sure everything is ready and wait.

A lot of eyes and noses to deal with. Plus, bucks still running together says they ain't love struck and most likely won't be goofy yet.

Wait, but watch as, you may have to move. When love is in the air Mr. Dominant will be looking for the doe in heat. Find the bedding area of this doe and studly will be along. Watch doe and study the tarsal glands for color. These glands will become very dark as the doe comes into heat. If you find that doe so will your buck. You just need to be there before he is as, he most likely won't pay attention to you.

Whats up Ed,  Yeah don't move and let them come to you.  Just make sure you leave NO SIGNS of being there. I mean spray your FEET , PANT LEG, and HANDS  don't touch anything on the way in or out. Set up a mock scrape with a drip bag about 20 yds from your stand. 

Kota I actually made my first ever mock scrape about three days ago. I have no vehicle to go hunting because its in the shop but apparently a big buck came out from.my patch of woods tonight and into the field

Mid October bow hunting always sucks for me.  The go from their summer feeding pattern to being nocturnal and not being anywhere you would expect them.  Wait until Halloween and hunt hard from there out.  Funnels, doe bedding areas later on.  You will be fine.  Never did the mock scrape, I have heard good things.

PGC says there is a abundance of deer so, I'm off to find them.

That's why it's called hunting; so, I've been told.
