No matter how much enforcement is out, unfortunately there will always be boneheads like that. I was fishing a lake last year during the middle of the week, there was only myself and 1 other boat on the side of the lake I was fishing. I ran into a school so I through out my buoy marker to mark my troll line. This guy shoots across the lake, stops his boat right on top of my buoy literally and begins to jig right on top of it. If that wasn't bad enough he snagged my buoy line and attempted to keep the buoy. He was an older man, probably 60's I was shocked an appalled by his behavior. Point is there is always going to be A-holes....just gotta adapt and deal with em'

Wife and I were up last Friday afternoon  & evening , a lot of boats already, had to wait to put in and wait longer to load....That didn't really bother me but we were on the  south end by the causeway drifting with about 8 other boats all doing pretty good staying out of each others way then here comes this idiot trolling right through the middle of us....That did it for me ,it was almost dark & windy , fishing was slow so I said suck it and we loaded up and went home. I really like fishing the lake but it's getting worse every year....

I'm pretty sure throwing out a bouy is a signal for morons to come flying over.  A few times we have had guys in pontoon boats set up withing 20 yards of us and try to copy our drift since they seen we have electronics and they dont have any.  My favorite one though is the guy in a pontoon that set up just above our bouy and was watching himself drift right into it. My dad hollers to him that hes about to run over our bouy but it was too late. As it bounced around under his boat he replied 'I hear' then after it cleared he kicked on the motor and went back up to do the same drift again.

I agree, and normally don't throw the buoy marker out when the lake is busy, but I was literally the only boat on the lake except 1 other guy across the lake.

Skidoo3-  You can park on the causeway on Rt.285 heading toward ANDOVER OH. just make sure you're on the PA. side. There are even some platforms to fish off of at a couple of spots along there. You could also try at the point at Wilson launch ( just left of the boat launch). Wilson is the most northern launch in PA. just off Rt.6 north of LINESVILLE. This should at least give you some place to start. Good Luck

Just do what I do. When you find fish throw a bouy out 200-300 yards away. Then all the idiots drift your bouy line while your laughing and catching fish. You know to be that certain distance from it to be on fish. Ill usually drop it as I'm making my way back up to start the drift again. It's hilarious watching 10+ boats run to your bouy and not catch anything then pack up and move on after wasting 1-2 hours.

Ill even mark the fish on the GPS and still throw a bouy out a good distance away for the same reason. The bouy has no meaning to me where the fish are it's just to keep the idiots away.

Went yesterday and it  was tough picking threw 8-9 inch eyes. 2 were 14". Had to weave in and around boats all day. The fish we caught were in 16' right at a drop off into 20' Fished north of Snodgrass in 22' with no eyes then south out from Yacht club...then near beach...then near bay 41. Tough day but better than work...:)
