Word is out for sure and fishing has been good. What a great early shot we've had. Its been a while since we've had such a good august shot. As most know it can be hit or miss and there's never a guarantee but its pretty solid for sure...

What a good forum this is with the group of guys that bs here and share various fishing adventures. Finally just decided to start a new account after struggling to sign back in but have followed for the past two months periodically. Thanks to twobob for sharing some of my pics. What a great spring and summer its been... keep on keeping on!!!

Welcome back Andy! That was a great picture of you and your son on the DSC site, that'll be a great memory to share in the future.
Seeing those pictures and reading the reports is really making it hard to not make a early run,but I know as soon as I get there the Salmon will all go back to the lake and shoot me the fin.So I'll use my head and wait a bit

Good to be back guys thanks.... yeah jack he was happy for sure but last year around sept. 17th is still stuck in his head. I guess you could say he got spoiled that day :) as usual third week of September should be about a wrap for me. Definitely looking forward to the mother load that will be coming this year. Right now theres Fish in the river, fish in the estuary , fish in the mouth and thousands of fish around 200 ft. Out on the lake... its sure gonna be big when it comes. Tight lines boys

Well I had an unexpected day off on Mon.
Had to be home by 1 but that gave me more time fishing than driving (that is my cardinal rule) so an early morning drive was in order.
Got there and got first water in my second choice but first pick.
Great pocket for moving fish.
After about a half hoir of not seeing or feeling anything I was joined by a guy who drove up from PA for the day.
Time to move.
Wandered down and as I was about to cross to get to the good side I spotted 3 or for coho.
They were spooky as they could be partly I think because of the ultra low water but also because of the guys in the riffle jumping up on the rocks to get a good look and then lifting away.
All in all a nice day.
All I got was wet feet.

Yes welcome back DB.   I myself am frantically trying to get my wood cut and get stuff buttoned up for winter so I can relax.   I may take a trip up this weekend or after work but I have been hearing the perch are starting to pile up soooooooo..........

Clint that could be a good idea. Drove through town today a few hours ago and saw no one fishing. Drove back through a half hour ago and saw quite a few people fishing above the bridge. 2 kids were standing at the head of the new stairs with two nice ones on a stringer.... I guess you can say its salmon season once you see that. Its definitely luck or hard work for getting them in the river this time of year. Its all in whats worth it to the individual.

I may have to do a suicide run before I head for western wilderness.
Glad to see a good start for some good people.  Go swing some comets, Clint; it'll help you wait for steelies.

Twobob, its always good to get out. Think of it this way, its only mid august and you already knocked off some of the rust.

Fichy, great to hear from you. A suicide run could be worth it but try to include early morning and evening in possible.
