Wait I just saw this.

Well call me a twat (lol) but I was parked there because that is supposed to be where we are to park.. Not on the side of the road like the signs say and lazy twats did, do....
It's not closed, it's just not completed .. Why ?
Lazy we were not, we walked a few miles each day :)

What's this about someone calling people twats?
I just reread the whole thread and I can't find it anywhere.

PS I will change it back tomorrow for continuity sake.

Well that wraps up another "Salmon" season for me,I wait all year and it passes in a flash. Now I'm resting a day until I start the chores around the homestead tomorrow.
Overall I had my usual good time fighting fish, enjoying the great weather (a little too warm),and sharing the water with Rich for a couple days, topped off with enjoying breakfast with Rich and his wife Wed AM.
I had lots of success with black, olive wooly buggers and the Spruce Fly.Also, caught a few on egg color, dark peacock, and orange estez. And would you believe I caught a couple Kings on a BH Pheasant tail.In the two trips I played with several Steel and landed a couple, all on a green flashback peacock size 10 nympth.
As usuall the biggest negative of the Lake Ontario tribs is the large number of complete Aholes that come to "fish".Where is your neighbor and friends Clint? The only place I saw the DEC was in their vehicles, they could have wrote citations until they ran out of ink on the LFZ.As Fitchy said it is a shame such a great fishery is ruined by what the DEC allows to continue there.
One fish in particular that I would like to mention.Wed PM I had a fish take a Orange estez fly, after a LONG HARD fight I got a good look at it and it was a Coho and I know it was 20 lbs +.A guy was about to net it and it made one of those last little runs.....and the hook came loose. That was probably the biggest Coho that I can remember playing with in a long time if ever.
I might make a late Oct trip to the SR,but that will be a trout trip and if any Salmon get on my line it will be incidental.

I have some time now because the chores are being delayed because of damp conditions.
Besides the Ahole carrying his foul hooked trophy several hundred yards to his camera here is a couple others.
I was fishing up at the head of the rock wall on the LFZ and observed a couple idiots fighting yet another foul hooked fish at the tailout of the cemetery hole.Because the fish was foul hooked the "angler" that was at the other end of the line was not having much success getting it to his net man.Well apparently they got impatient to land their trophy so the net man decided to chase it.Into the hole he goes chasing it across the river with the net in the water,he now was up to his chest and probably getting a bit damp. This continued back and forth until the "trophy" got off.I was laughing my azz off and if they heard me they did n't show it.
Then there was the four sweepers. These "anglers" were all using the cast, drift, then sweep their line when it reached the sweet spot of the drift. They were foul hooking constantly. What was too funny is that they fought every fish to the net and then heaved it up on shore, got out the camera, and took a picture of EVERY foul hooked "trophy" to brag about.MORONS are abundant during Salmon season!
There's many more, but you get the drift.

Jack, I think morons float, because dozens would drown each year if they didn't.  Hope I see you next trip, it's time to start my visits for the year.
Trying to co-ordinate with HT. Need some of your steelie magic.
Besides, Rich and I need practice with the net.

Jack it's been said again and again they could balance the freaking budget and cause the stock of Bic corporation go through the roof  if they wrote all the tickets  they could.  Fish will be fouled and that is a given with the amount there, it's how you handle it that counts.   I played one out tonight that  I was pretty sure was fouled,  but it had my last Orange Estaz on it.   Walked below everyone and did what I had to do.  Got it in and it was under the jaw.   Never took it out of the net and just returned it.   It's the guys that take up the whole run with one hooked in the motor  playing it for what seems like forever.  Then like you said whoop, holler and do a dance like they caught Moby****
