Was on the ice Sunday with all 4 kids. They are 7, 6, 5, and 4. Out of the four, 3 of them stepped in holes and got wet feet. One of them broke a brand new rod. They pushed my sled too close to the heater and melted it. 3 of them caught one fish apiece and the fourth one (my 5 year old daughter, Daddy's little fishergirl) caught 6 big gills. Watching her slam the gills made the rest of it worth it.
 
We had to pull 3 sleds out there just to get all of the equipment out. Walking sucked. With every step, you broke down through into a layer of water that was laying on a foot of good ice. Edges were wet but good. Ice is all safe. Just sloppy. With the weather we are getting this week, all of that slop will freeze up. Wish I could fish with you this week Jake, but I'm working.
