I may get the boat out one last time this season - thinking about trolling or drifting for near shore lake trout (Erie PA). 
I heard it can be great fishing this time of year, but never tried it.  Anyone doing this?  Any success?

I think VQ charters is still doing some trips.  Saw some vid snippets of them landing some big ones and assume it is in Erie.

XTR Charters drifts/jigs them, VQ as eyes said mostly trolls from them. I know when jigging, once you find their spawning structure its game on. Most of them seem to be out of the east side
