Thanks for the reports.

Like everywhere this year, places seem to be getting pounded as soon as there is safe ice, sometimes sooner. The ice folks might just be chomping at the bit after a couple terrible years, too. Hard to say. Someone said there were 200 people on high point a couple weeks ago.

I can’t help but wonder how everything will hold up with the extra pressure. Hunting has been the same, more people on public than I have seen in my lifetime. I wonder how many of the covid-outdoor-discovery folks will be at it a year from now? 5 years from now?

We may see creel limits and seasons changed. Hopefully it is at least on the state biologists radar, it would be a shame to be a few years behind and really allow some places to get beaten to death before realizing what is happening. Although that happens already in isolated places, it will be interesting to see how it plays out on a larger scale.

I drove past the bay and there were anglers off chestnut. Didn't get a chance to stop and see how thick the ice was though.
