So it seems that all new York state run campgrounds, there is no new ( open) sites available to book in 2020. Only previously reserved sites will be honored.
What this means is, if you use selkirk shores state park and don't already have a reservation I think you're sol.
Private campgrounds are not affected but the people who normally depend on selkirk will be seeking those options.

Here in Rhode island, state campgrounds opened yesterday.
Unfortunately for us we had reservations from last Saturday till this Saturday.
We had to resort to a private campground which is ok but the cost was almost triple.

Hey Rich- glad your having a great time in RI.

Hey- if these new NY restrictions on some out of state travelers hold a few months some of those reserved spaces at Selkirk may open up.

As one of a 'certain age' with 'issues' I may have to miss it no matter  what but hope u can get up there,
If those restrictions hold there may even be fewer fisherfolk.

Rg,
The thing is there are no reservations being accepted in 2020, even if the sites are open.
All state campgrounds in NYS are not allowing new reservations at any of their campgrounds for 2020. They will only honor ones that have been made prior to Corona.

Edit.
I might be wrong however.
Re read the press release and see it only applies to state run DEC campgrounds. I know selkirk is state but I don't think it falls under DEC list.
