Hello everyone just stopped in to see how the hunt has gone for the gang here...congrats to everyone that has been successful!
I had my 1st legal buck come in Monday morning chasing a doe hard after a couple minutes he made the mistake of stopping broadside at 15 yds I could not resist double lunged him.
Real nice looking 2.5 yr old 8 not big 14 in wide but heavy rack for size.
Several big bucks running around but I was happy to take this smaller one and put some venison in the freezer.
Tomorrow should be a good day with weather change good luck everyone!

YOU ARE NOT VERY NICE .......

I'm sitting in a deer blind watching a monsoon at the present time. So, lucky for you, I'm on my phone and can't access the Emojis.

You know the ones with a single FINGER extended in the air.

Now go away; I have a pointy stick on a sling type of apparatus, I wish to impale a white-tail with. A/K/A, harvesting a deer.

Man-O-Man........ It's raining like the proverbial cow and flat rock!!!!

Oops, rain stopped..... bye.

Was out this afternoon 2:45-dark. 1st time I've hunted this stand. Saw nothing until just before 5 when a nice buck comes creeping down the path I'm sitting on. I can see him about 35 yds out through a small hemlock, when he decides to hop the fence along 79 and disappears into some thick goldenrod. Stayed until dark without seeing him again. Weather in the morning looks great. Hope they're moving. Good luck everyone.

Came very close to sealing the deal Thursday evening on a really good looking 8.  He followed a doe step for step for the last 30 minutes of light, but of course the only place he wouldn't follow her was into one of my shooting lanes  Wind stayed out of the south this afternoon and I went back with hopes he'd be back and had no such luck.

I'll be back at it tomorrow.  Weather is looking to be much better and I'm hoping deer will be on their feet.

Day before yesterday a friend hit a real nice 3 1/2 year old 8 point. Tracked for over 5 hours with little to no blood on the wet leaves and the Deer got away.
Arrow fell out after bout 60 yards and appeared to have little penetration and did not hit the target area.(unseen  twig in the line of flight ?)
He was really upset over the whole issue. This guy has taken dozens with the bow and is an excellent hunter- stuff happens.
This AM he was back in the same stand and the same wounded Buck came in--- chasing two Doe.
Dropped it quickly and cleanly.
Now he can sleep again.

Congrats r3g3.

Jumped one on the way in this morning, then had one right under the stand for a few minutes at 5:50. 2 doe with a small 6pt right on their heels just after 7. Nothing after that. Taking a break till about 1, then back at it. Hope the big boys are moving this afternoon.

Congrats to your friend glad he got it and it didn't go to waste. I think we have all probably had that happen at one time in our hunting years... I know I have , l lost a 7pt yrs ago thought I made a good clean shot. Gave him about hour and half found blood and the arrow but kicked him up again. Got my buddy we looked the rest of the day ,wife & I went back out next morning never found him .... Then a farmer was cutting corn a few properties down and found him about a week later and called my buddy.... Yes it makes ya sick but this happens at times ....
