WAr Eagle,$130 is not a lot of money and would n't be considered high end,two three times that amount and your getting into high end.Don't buy a piece of junk,I'm not familiar with the TFO but I'm sure it is a decent rod.For the reel I recommend a Lamson Konic,has a great drag,it is water proof,and you may be able to pick one up on sale for a good price.Back to the rod,for the SR I would recommend a 10' or longer 8 wt for Salmon and Steel.
I just checked on Fish USA on the Lamson Konic reel and the regular price is $160 for the 3.5 size and the 4 is $170.I got one on sale a year ago for $105,but even at regular price it is the best reel out there for the money.
So you spend $130 for a decent rod,$160 for a great reel,another $100 for line and backing and you're ready to have a ball.
